15 July Democracy and National Unity Day was celebrated with a series of events organised under the auspices of the Yalova Governor's Office. Our Rector, Prof. Dr. Mehmet Bahçekapılı, shared the enthusiasm of our citizens throughout the day-long events alongside the provincial protocol.
The 15 July Democracy and National Unity Day events began with a breakfast programme at the Uygulama Hotel, attended by the families of martyrs and veterans, as well as provincial officials and civil society representatives, and continued with a visit to the Yalova Martyrs' Cemetery.
The Martyrs' Programme began with prayers led by the Provincial Mufti and continued with the laying of carnations on the graves of the martyrs. The events continued with the opening of a photo exhibition on the theme of 15 July at Cevdet Aydın Park. Following the opening of the exhibition, a Mevlid-i Şerif programme was held at Yalova Central Mosque in memory of our martyrs.
