The Yalova University Quality Commission and Advisory Board Meeting was held under the chairmanship of Rector Prof. Mehmet Bahçekapılı. The meeting continued with presentations by Prof. Senay Yürür Karslıoğlu, Vice-Rector responsible for quality, during which the work carried out regarding the University’s quality assurance system was discussed in detail, and evaluations to support institutional development and current quality processes were reviewed.
The meeting was also attended by İlhan Aydın, Director of the Yalova Provincial Directorate of Industry and Technology; İbrahim Akkanat, Director of the Commercial Registry at the Yalova Chamber of Commerce and Industry; and Samed Mutlucan, Director of Strategic Development at Yalova Municipality, all of whom are members of the University Advisory Board. The agenda of the meeting included the evaluation of the 2025 Institutional Self-Assessment Report, presentations on Unit Self-Assessment Reports, the status of programme accreditation applications, the updating of quality policies and objectives, and the presentation of activities for the second half of 2025 by administrative units and application and research centres. Within this framework, the current status and areas for development regarding the strengthening of the quality culture at the university were assessed from multiple perspectives.
Yalova University is resolutely continuing its efforts to strengthen the quality assurance system at an institutional level, to promote the philosophy of continuous improvement, and to embed a quality culture more effectively across all units. This meeting served as a significant demonstration of the university’s quality-focused management approach and its institutional development strategy based on stakeholder participation.
